Langston Hughes - Lucille Dinges Endowed Writing Award

The Langston Hughes – Lucille Dinges Endowed Writing Award recipient will be a Junior or Senior with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and is open to all majors. The recipient will be recognized for his/her superior achievement in literary analysis or creative writing. To be eligible the applicant must submit an essay, with no more than a maximum of 20 pages of critical work, with either primary source or secondary source analysis on a literary topic. Or an essay, with no more than a maximum of 20 pages of creative work poetry, short stories or plays.
