Vivian Vu World Community Scholarship

The Vivian Vu World Community Scholarship shall be awarded to a sophomore or junior student having completed 30-90 credit hours of instruction with a minimum 3.25 GPA, studied abroad or made plans to study abroad for at least one semester, taken a range of courses that show clearly an interest in international issues and in a range of global cutltures, participated in Model United Nations, Model European Union, ARab League or other comparable international simulation, show a strong commitment to community building efforts, including volunteer and service work, expecially efforts that aim to bridge between cultures, amd must be willing to serve one academic year on the committee that awards the scholarship. Recipients shall be selected by a committee consisting of the Donor(or his representative), a current or retired MSSU faculty member who has taught in the area of international study and who has a strong record of participating in and support for international programs sponsored by MSSU, one currently enrolled student(preferably the previous year’s scholarship recipient), and the Director of International Studies at MSSU.
