Harry Preble Memorial Scholarship

The Harry Preble Memorial Scholarship shall be awarded to full-time students with an English major. Eligible students must have a 2.5 minimum GPA. Award selection will be made by the English Department Scholarship Selection Committee. Applicants must submit a sample of prior work, composed of an introduction and another piece that was written for courses. If desired, one or more non-curricular items may be added such as formal expository essays, summaries of journal articles, research essays, creative work (fiction or poetry) or other miscellaneous written pieces demonstrating talent and promise. A letter of recommendation is required from department faculty.
