Russ and Suzy Alcorn Family Assistance Scholarship

The Russ and Suzy Alcorn Family Assistance Scholarship shall be awarded to one Junior or Senior student who falls under the guidelines establishing them as a student with a disability. Eligible students must display financial need; federal and state grant eligibility is required; reside within a 60-mile radius of Joplin, Missouri; be enrolled full-time; and be in good academic standing. Qualifying students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Recipients will be selected by the Coordinator of Disability Services at MSSU, who will identify a student who has the likelihood of success in their chosen major field. The award may be used to pay for the cost of attendance incurred by the student while attending MSSU and may be renewed for one additional academic year if the selected recipient is in their Junior year.
