Debra and David Humphreys Excellence Award

The Debra and David Humphreys Excellence Award shall be awarded to students with one of the following criteria at the time of application; a minimum 3.7 high school or collegiate GPA, a 28 or above composite ACT score or a combined critical reading and mathematics SAT score of 1300, and graduate in the top ten percent of their high school class. Recipients of the award shall be graduates of a high school within fifty (50) miles of MSSU and a full-time MSSU student majoring in biological and physical sciences, mathematics, education, accounting, finance, engineering technology, or computer information science. Participants in the “MKEAP” advanced medical school placement program between MSSU and Kansas City University shall be eligible. The scholarship shall be renewable for up to eight semesters so long as the recipients remain a full-time student and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA at MSSU. Recipients of the award will be called “Humphreys Scholars.”
Each award will be for at least one-third or more of the Missouri Southern State University’s stated tuition rate in effect for the year.
