Debbie Thompson Spirit of Dental Hygiene Scholarship

The Debbie Thompson Spirit of Dental Hygiene Scholarship shall be awarded to students who have been accepted into the first or second year of the Missouri Southern Dental Hygiene Program in Joplin, Missouri. Eligible students must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale. Preference will be shown to full-time students, however, in the event that a student does not need to carry a full-time schedule in their Spring semester to fulfill graduation requirements, the recipient may be in a part-time status. Qualifying students must be of high moral character and must have been active in leadership/volunteer activities. Two scholarships shall be awarded each year; one shall be a first-year program student and one shall be a second-year program student. The students must complete an essay describing their eligibility for the scholarship. All essays will be submitted to the donor for review.
